In an hour or so, the USA will celebrate NATIONAL 2011 TARTAN DAY, as established a few years ago by a U.S. Congressional Resolution. Many cities will celebrate with huge parades, pipes and drums, exhibits, lectures, and so on. For many, celebrations will be a bit private. I plan to fly my Clan Cameron of Scotland flag on the front of my home; wear my kilt all day; lift a wee dram in toast to Arbroath, Scotland, and Clan Cameron; and feast at the local Tilted Kilt, a national chain of "Scottish" pubs. To all: HAPPY TARTAN DAY 2011! SLAINGE, AYE!
