Lucy's marriage to Lt.Col. Richard Maundrell on June 1st - we had an amazing day:- sunny, no midges, great food and drink, a lovely marquee, lots of friends (including HRH Princess Royal and Sir Jackie Stewart !) wonderful flowers and a beautiful bride ! All in all we couldn't have wished for more.

Lochiel's daughter Lucy got engaged to be married last week. Her husband-to-be is Lt Col Richard Maundrell, Grenadier Guards. Lochiel and Cecil are absolutely delighted. He is a wonderful man and will, I am sure, be a perfect husband for Lucy. The wedding is going to take place at Achnacarry on June 1st 2013.

Many Camerons outside Scotland have difficulty tracing their Scottish origins - particularly if they came from humble stock.

Ben Nevis Distillery has come away with two medals in the 2012 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
The distillery gained a bronze medal for the McDonald's Tradtional a 46% peated malt and a gold medal for the Mc Donalds Glencoe an 8 year old blended malt at 58%.

The website for the Scottish Register of Tartans lists two different Cameron hunting tartans. The first is called Cameron Hunting and the second Cameron of Lochiel (Hunting).
