The Gaelic Language

It was good to hear the Gaelic language being used at the Memorial Service at Culloden on Saturday, 17th April. After a long period of years in which parents discouraged their children from using Gaelic, we have seen a small but significant rebirth in recent years. My own parents were native Gaelic speakers and only learned English when they went to school.
